  5. There are two special file areas that are accessible in DoorNet and are not
  6. considered part of DFN. These are DOORDIST and FREEBASE.

  8. DOORDIST is the official file distribution area for DoorNet nodelists, Echo-
  9. Rosters, Systems Maps, policy documents, and other similar files. It is a
  10. REQUIRED file area: every member system in DoorNet must carry this file area.

  12. FREEBASE is the official supplemental DOOR file distribution are for DoorNet:
  13. it carries DOORs and DOOR-related files not seen in other filenets, even in-
  14. cluding DFN. FreeBase distribution is now a favorite file area among DoorNet
  15. sysops who want or require the best and hard-to-find DOORs for their users.
